Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast in real-time on the streaming platform.
Briton Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "overpower" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming heavyweight fight.
Former twice world title holder Anthony Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth uneven pairing - at Miami arena on December 19th.
Boxer's Mindset
"I will break his face and break his body up. I'm here to prove I'm the better fighter," the British boxer, 35, said.
"I plan to overwhelm him. That's the boxer's mindset.
"I will really want to injure him. That's my intention."
Civil Interaction
Despite those words, a relaxed Joshua and social media star Paul - typically famous for his dramatics - were respectful and remained civil with each other.
Paul instead criticized former Joshua opponent Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a match opportunity.
Taking Aim at Tyson Fury
Joshua, in the meantime, took aim at British rival Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a Paul victory.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua stated.
"I give him credit for that."
Serious Opponent
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua chose not to talk badly about his rival's pugilistic talent.
"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.
Commercial Attraction
However, the relative newcomer remains one of the sport's largest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial financial rewards.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the highly-expected match between Joshua and Fury, which is allegedly being planned for two years from now.
"It will be me versus Tyson Fury next year," Paul said.
Size Difference
As both boxers participated in the traditional face-off, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
